Manufacturer's Description: Specular TextureScape 2.0 represents the latest in texture-generation technology for the Macintosh. By basing textures entirely on PostScriptx outlines, TextureScape allows users to design an infinite variety of detailed and rich textures that are tileable, resolution-independent and can also be animated over time. The EPS outlines that serve as texture building-blocks in TextureScape can be imported from Adobe Illustratorx or Macromedia Freehandx, or from other illustration packages capable of saving in the above formats. In addition, TextureScape contains an integrated set of bezier spline drawing tools, as well as 11 shape libraries containing over 400 shapes. Once a shape has been selected, its spacing and surface characteristics (including gloss, bump, transparency, softness, surface color, shadow color) can be precisely controlled. Textures may contain an unlimited number of layers which can be rearranged at any time. Although TextureScape provides precise control over the texture design process, it also offers the ability to randomize all the above attributes, as well as shape rotation, size and color. TextureScape textures can be saved as "description only" files that are typically only 15K-40K, yet can be rendered at any resolution. In addition to these powerful texture design features, TextureScape can also animate the textures it creates. By placing texture keyframes on TextureScape's built-in sequencer at different points in time, users can create QuickTimex movies of morphing or animating textures. TextureScape can write image files as RGB PICT, TIFF and EPSF and CMYK TIFF. Animations can be rendered in the PICS, numbered PICT and QuickTime formats. Minimum system requirements for TextureScape are a Macintosh computer with a 68020 or faster processor, System 7 or higher and 4MB of RAM. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * INSTALLATION * To install the demo version of TextureScape, double-click the "TextureScape 2.0 Demo Installer" icon and select a destination on your hard drive for the program to be placed. Once you've done this, click the "Extract" button. The TextureScape 2.0 demo and 10 Sample Textures (saved in description only format) will be loaded onto your drive. The demo is fat-binary, meaning it is native for the Power Macintosh but will also run on 68K-based computers. ----------------------------------------------------------- Internet Connection File Libraries.
